Black Eyed Peas 'Pump It'

Not only are they a delicious bean but you can dance to them....one of my all time favorite dancing songs cause it ROCKS! And MiniMiley if your mom says OK you should listen to it...

Apparently they blocked all attempts to embed the video the PUNKS so you have to go the link go here to listen to it....

Check out Fergie's hair it looks like my sister's hair and she does not have to pay hundreds to make it look like that....see sis you are totally cool and you don't even know it lol lol...not the braids the dreads.... hmmm thinking about the braids for myself....

Taylor Swift 'Crazier'

Oh look there is a violin maybe I will have to learn this song too! One of my BFFs likes this song actually she lkes her music. But I also like her music too!!!!!!!

Billy Ray Cyrus 'Back to Tennessee'

I like this song because it is kind of rock mixed with country. It cracks me up that the backup singers only sing 'AHHHHHHH'. Thank goodness he is not still like he was in 'Achy Breaky' heart OMG my mom showed me that video and he looks soooo WEIRD...

Miley Cyrus 'The Climb'

So you can't really hear the violins because of the drums but I still like this song. I like her voice and the fact that she writes a lot of her own songs either by herself or with her dad. I also like a couple of Hannah Montana songs. But for some reason shes not as good as when she sings the songs as Miley.

AHOY MiniMiley Here's the HoeDown Throwdown Dance just for you!

Catch me on the Radio May 2nd!

On KUNM Children's Hour or if you miss it check out the podcast here I will be interviewed by Katie Stone who hosts the show and I will play one of my songs!

It is so exciting but I am not nervous I just have to make sure I don't say something 'sucks' if she asks me what kind of music I don't like lol lol lol (No Grandpa I don't really use that language I am sooo innocent lol)

So wake up early and listen in at 9AM on Saturday!

Another of my favorite musicians, Chilton Gregory

Here I am with him in front of the stage at the Klezmatics show.
He plays the big giant Bass in the Nahalat Shalom Community Klezmer Band and he sings in a Welsch Choir...I know he plays other instruments but that is what I have seen him play since I met him....oh yea I think he plays a Kaval(sp?) a Bulgarian flute type thing.
Why is he on my favorite musician list? Well because he is one of many 'grandparents' I have in the band and he is just freakin funny he makes me laugh just by giving me a goofy look. He always has a smile on his face. And sometimes he does a GIANT TWANG sound at the end of a song which makes me laugh cause he plays right behind where I sit...
So here he is Chilton...

The Klezmatics Rock

Here is me in front of the stage before they started playing.

They totally rock and are one of the best bands I have heard. Course I like a lot of different bands. Most of them played different instruments except the violinist who also sang. They played a lot of songs that most people have heard before except they were different versions. Some of them they wrote themselves. Some of them they used the lyrics from Woody Guthrie.

But anyway my dad and I had a lot of fun listening to them. I had never heard a long drum solo in real life but this guy was awesome and except for the baby I think I was the only one in the audience under 30 lol lol

Here they are The Klezmatics

YouTube is taking too long so I will find and link to one of my favorite songs I heard 'Man in a Hat' I think was the name.

Here is the song of theirs that I like but it is another band singing it, still very cool

And here is Mermaid's Avenue

My favorite musician...my teacher

This is my favorite musician, my teacher Beth Cohen I have been studying violin with her since I was about 5 and I love that she lets me play songs that I am interested in as well as my regular note reading and Suzuki.

When I wanted to learn a Greek tune for my Great-Grandmother, who is from Kalamata, Greece she knew of just the right song (Never on a Sunday) and I had so much fun that is when I first started to get interested in folk music.

She is the reason why I started playing with the Nahalat Community Klezmer Band.

I'm a recording artist...very cool!

I got to play on this CD with the band after I had just started playing with them. I play on almost all the songs and have a small solo on one. I was 7 last summer (2008) when we recorded this and it was very cool to be in the studio with the other band members.

The band is the Nahalat Shalom Community Klezmer Band here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I have been playing with them for over a year now and it is still a lot of fun. I learn a lot about music because some of these folk songs are so complicated. Right now I am the youngest person in the band by many years.
